#ThankYourCAM Contest

When we think back on our lives, we can all remember someone who helped us along our journey whether it’s a family member, friend, coach, teacher, counselor, advisor, or mentor. Was there a “Mr. Cam” in your life?

“Let’s start a movement of gratitude by thanking those individuals who showed up for us, encouraged us, and guided us through the big and small moments of our lives.”

Tell us how they helped you stay on track, and you could win a personal video message from Daveed Diggs, a 30-minute advising session from Mr. Cam, and have your story featured on Daveed’s socials!

Post your message of gratitude to Instagram Reels or TikTok telling your story. Use your voice, be real, be creative — it can be a direct-to-camera testimonial, slideshow, animation, spoken word, poetry… anything that shows us what that person meant to you.

Tag @theclassdoc and use hashtag #ThankYourCAM to add your voice!

How to Enter

  1. Post an Instagram Reel or TikTok up to 90 seconds long

  2. Follow @theclassdoc

  3. Tag @theclassdoc in your post. Please make sure you tag @theclassdoc in your post, not just the caption, so your entry shows up in The Class’s tagged posts. You should not add @theclassdoc as a collaborator – entries will only be viewed from our tagged posts.

  4. Use the hashtags in your caption: #ThankYourCAM #TheClassPBS

  5. Your account must be public through the judging period

  6. Your account settings must enable The Class to tag you in its posts

  7. You may submit multiple entries. Each video will be judged individually.

What to Include in Your Video

  • What challenge you were facing

  • How your CAM (Counselor, Advisor, or Mentor) helped

  • What the outcome was or what it meant to you

Terms and Conditions Summary

By entering, you:

  • Confirm your content is original and respectful

  • Grant permission for your video to be shared and repurposed by The Class and its partners

  • Must be at least 13 years old (minors under 18 require parent/guardian consent)

  • Confirm that you own the rights to all footage, music, and content in your videos

  • Understand you are responsible for getting consent from anyone featured in your video

  • Agree to abide by contest rules and social media terms of use

US and non-US residents may enter. Prizes are not transferable or redeemable for cash. This contest is not sponsored or endorsed by Instagram, TikTok, or PBS.

Winners will receive a DM from @theclassdoc and will be tagged in our announcement. Winners will then coordinate directly with our team to receive their prize.

Arbitration

By participating in this contest, you agree: (i) that any and all disputes you may have with, or claims you may have against the Three Frame Media Parties relating to, arising out of or connected in any way with this contest, the awarding or redemption of the prize by Three Frame Media, and/or the determination of the scope or applicability of this agreement to arbitrate, will be resolved exclusively by final and binding arbitration; (ii) this arbitration agreement is made pursuant to a transaction involving interstate commerce, and shall be governed by the Federal Arbitration Act (“FAA”), 9 U.S.C. §§116; (iii) the arbitration shall be held in Los Angeles County, California; (iv) the arbitrators’ decision shall be controlled by the terms and conditions of these contest rules and any of the other agreements referenced herein; (v) the arbitrator shall apply California law consistent with the FAA and applicable statutes of limitation; (vi) the arbitrator may not consolidate or join the claims of other persons or parties who may be similarly situated; (vii) the arbitrator shall not have the power to award punitive damages against you or Three Frame Media; (viii) if any part of this arbitration provision is deemed to be invalid, unenforceable or illegal, then the balance of this arbitration provision shall remain in effect and shall be construed in accordance with its terms as if the invalid, unenforceable, illegal or conflicting provision were not contained herein.
